The Minimum Wages Law was enacted on 22nd March, 2013, as revised the Minimum Wages Act, 1949, and enforced on 4th June, 2013. The Minimum Wages Rule was enacted on 12th July, 2013. The amount of minimum wage is not stipulated in the law but procedure for determining the minimum wage is provided. 3,600 Kyats as daily wage is fixed by the National committee (National Committee for Determining the Minimum Wage) on 28th August, 2015 and enforced on 1st September, 2015.
